FROM THE BOOK:

"Pattern bars that have been laminated together by firing in a fusing kiln can be formed and stretched using a glory hole. The stacks of glass that become the pick-ups or 'gathers' on the end of the punty should be fused together enough to form one piece, but it is not necessary to have them fully fused"
