Weddings at Camp Colton

As a vintage summer camp, Camp Colton offers rustic charm and simple elegance for your country wedding. We offer year-round use, an historic chapel, beautiful bridal dressing quarters, a spacious reception lodge with outdoor reception area, and overnight accommodations for up to 40 guests in cozy cottages, with the option to add camping.

Outdoor weddings can be staged in one of several inviting locations, but are most often held in a sweetly private place called Cedar Circle, at the foot of a giant cedar, surrounded by trees, and located auditorily exactly between the two creeks. This is a surprisingly spiritual setting, which we suspect the Molalla Indians knew well. Scheduling an outdoor wedding can be dicey in western Oregon, but luckily there is that beautiful chapel to duck into if the day clouds up!

Nestled among tall firs and cedars, lush greenery, beautiful gardens and rushing creeks, the camp is located only 30 miles outside of Portland. The serenity of this setting is a most appropriate backdrop to the exchanging of vows, while giving guests a wonderful holiday. The perfect location for the most romantic and memorable day of your lives!

 A Venue Rental Fee surcharge will be applied to all weddings held on a major holiday.

  • Private preview tours are prearranged by phone or email.
  • Generally offered on Sunday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
  • At 11 am, 1 pm, 3 pm, 5 pm, or 6 pm, by appointment; we allow 1 1/2 hrs to answer your questions.
  • Open House, requiring no appointment, is held every Wednesday afternoon.
  • If you require individual guidance or want to conduct business during Open House,                                             making an appointment in advance will assure you have the attention you require.

Terms

Additional guests over 200 ppl will result in added fees at $15 per person.

Reserve your date as soon as possible to avoid scheduling conflicts. A signed contract and a refundable (except in the case of cancellations) reservation fee of $500.00 ($1000 for wedding weekends or when all cottages are involved) will reserve your date. Your security deposit will be refunded three weeks following the wedding date, providing time to have any damages assessed and their cost valued by contractors involved.

You may select any professional caterer, and receive a discount if you chose one from our recommended list. Because Camp Colton is an environmentally friendly venue, it does not permit the use of disposable tableware; all tableware can be rented through Camp Colton, or provided through your contracted caterer. All events must be scheduled to end by 11pm; alcohol service and music are discontinued one hour prior to the end of your event (no later than 10pm). 50% of fees are due six months before the event date; the balance of fees are due 30 days prior to your scheduled event, along with a certificate of insurance for $1,000,000 single event coverage. These event policies are available separately, but can sometimes be acquired as a rider or umbrella on your homeowner's policy.

Your reservation fee will be refunded, minus any damages, overtime, or added services 21 days following the event date, if you execute your contract. If you cancel your event Camp Colton will retain your reservation fee.
