Bigleaf Maple Dinner Party

Event Information

Our third annual Bigleaf Maple Dinner Party is back! Welcome in the maple season with a farm-to-table meal in the forest.

We are partnering with our non-profit residency, the Oregon Maple Project, and Chef Aron Warren to bring you an artisanal five course meal inspired by and using the Bigleaf Maple sap + syrup tapped from the trees at Camp Colton.

We will start the evening with a nature walk to the Sugar Shack - where the magic happens - for a Maple Syrup tasting and walkthrough of the sugaring process.

After the tastings, we will make our way to the creekside bar for a cocktail hour, following a five-course meal in the Gathering Hall.

We look forward to sharing this special evening with you!

About The Oregon Maple Project

The Oregon Maple Project is committed to creating community in connection to nature, bringing together people of diverse ages, races, identities, backgrounds, and abilities to learn from Pacific Northwest forests. We aim to create a culture of belonging and stewardship. We are always learning and listening about what it means to be equitable and inclusive, adapting our efforts as we grow in understanding.

Meet The Chef

Aron Warren

chef, farmer, world traveler

Aron hails from the Rocky mountains of Wyoming and Montana.  He developed a deep love of nature and the outdoors there and followed his dream of learning more about food to the Pacific Northwest.  He can usually be found dreaming of bringing together his two passions of food and nature to create an environment that fosters community, connection and creativity.  Aron's food has a rustic flair with a focus on high quality, locally-sourced, seasonal ingredients.  He's excited to create a meal for you inspired by the Bigleaf Maple which grows in the forest he works in daily at Camp Colton.
