Co-Founder of Woodblock Chocolate and bean to bar pioneer, Charley Wheelock had two options: Start a chocolate factory or go work for Starkist. Too bad for canned fish, I chose chocolate. Join me in the woods for a clinic on roasting cacao and tasting chocolate from three different origins. I will tell stories about each origin and then open the conversation to an engaging Q&A where you may ask about anything chocolate. organic certification, fair trade certification, agriculture, whatever you want! Then as a reward, we will engage in a respectfully customized, rowdy Love, Oregon version of a cacao ceremony.

The serene creeks flowing through Camp Colton—part of the Molalla River Watershed—are home to a wide variety of native plants and wildlife. Have you ever wondered who calls those waters home? Join Molalla River Watch Watershed Council in exploring the plants, wildlife, and underwater ecosystem in an all-ages, hands-on nature exploration station. Discover these amazing aquatic creatures and take a closer look using nets, viewing buckets, and magnifying tools while learning why these watery communities are so important for us all. Then celebrate your discoveries by decorating your own button pin to take home!
Participants can join from the streambank or wade in the shallow water (in closed-toe shoes or sandals, please!).

Hike + Nia with Tudie Stropparo (Kids + Adults)
Take a walk in the woods noticing animals, plants, sounds, textures, the light and each other.
We find an open area to spread out and practice a guided Nia Somatic Movement.
The experience will be both gentle and dynamic, a mix of healing arts, martial arts and dance arts. After we dance for about an hour, we will hike out enjoying the company of the group and noticing how we feel in our bodies after our guided movement exploration.

Psilocybin Panel with Nathan Howard, Addie Ray, and Sascha Archer
Nathan Howard is the co-founder of the Sheri Eckert Foundation, InnerTrek, and the Portland Psychedelic Society Action Fund. He served as an advisor to Oregon’s Ballot Measure 109 and played a critical role in the passage of Ballot Measure 110. Nathan is a longtime advocate for ending the drug war through responsible policy and commerce, serving as Vice Chair of the Oregon Cannabis Association and Co-Chair of its PAC. He is also a founder of East Fork Cultivars and a facilitator with the Plant Medicine Healing Alliance.
Adie Rae Wilson-Poe, Ph.D. is a neuroscientist, harm reduction advocate, and co-director of the Oregon Psilocybin Education Network (OPEN). A researcher with Legacy Research Institute, her work focuses on cannabis as an alternative to opioids, pain management, and substance use. She brings a multidisciplinary lens to policy and public health, with a deep commitment to health equity and evidence-based psychedelic research.
Sascha Archer is the owner of Sauvie Shrubs, a business she founded to make apple cider drinking vinegars more palatable while supporting local farms on Sauvie Island. Sascha Archer will be sharing her personal journey with microdosing psilocybin as a tool for supporting mental health and regulating the nervous system. After a lifetime of living with depression—and more recently navigating the challenges of perimenopause, including anxiety, emotional swings, and brain fog—Sascha turned to microdosing, and continues to return to it as a gentle plant ally and medicine.
